The Digital Map of Guernsey is a States of Guernsey product, owned and updated by the States of Guernsey.

In the late 1990s the States of Guernsey decided to start from with a clean sheet of paper and create a new corporate digital map base to meet the Islands current and future needs. This was designed and developed by the Guernsey Geographical Information Service (GGIS) and as a result, the Bailiwick Islands now enjoy the use of a modern digital map base, built to the highest standards of accuracy and technical functionality. To date, GGIS mapping data have proved to be the envy of all visiting GIS users who have seen the data sets available to our user base. Several national mapping agencies (including the UK's Ordnance Survey) use our sample data as an example of excellence in the promotion of GIS.

Digimap Limited is a channel Island based Company specialising in GIS. As a commercial partner to the States of Guernsey, Digimap Limited are responsible for the marketing and sales, software and data customisation, product installation and training, required to make best use of the GGIS mapping and GIS products, ensuring that our customers get the maximum benefit from the data available.
