Ordnance Survey – Great Britain's national mapping agency
Desktop mapping is ideal for customers who still want the help and support provided by an Ordnance Survey Mapping and Data Centre but who prefer to choose and organise maps and data at their own convenience, in their own time and at their own premises.
"The Ordnance Survey Mapping and Data Centre desktop mapping service is a convenient way of accessing maps and data, I know I can go online anytime and get the most up-to-date and accurate information I need."
Beverley Torrance, MJMC Group of Companies, Wakefield
"The new flexible Plan, Design and Build licence meets my project requirements, and the 'cookie-cutting' tool allows the total flexibility to access only the area of mapping I need for my project, reducing the cost of the dxf data."
Matthew Wright, Sanderson Associates, Huddersfield
Please note you don't have to be a desktop mapper to take advantage of the new plan, design and build licence. The new licence enables customers to take an export file of OS Sitemap data and use this in project activities. Your Ordnance Survey Mapping and Data Centre will be happy to discuss desktop mapping with you, show you a demonstration and work closely with you in setting up your own system.
