Data source

The address features originate from PAF delivery points maintained by Royal Mail daily for mail delivery purposes since 1974.

For Urban areas the data has been captured and maintained at a base scale of 1:1250 and is cartographically suitable for display at this scale.

For Rural areas the data has been captured and maintained at a base scale of 1:2500 and is cartographically suitable for display at this scale.

For Remote (mountain and moorland) areas the data has been captured and maintained at a base scale of 1:10 000 and is cartographically suitable for display at this scale.
Transfer format

The data is supplied in Comma Separated Value (CSV) format.

Coordinate precision Location coordinates for all address features in ADDRESS-POINT are stored in metres to a coordinate precision of a decimetre.
Update interval The product is available as a full resupply on a quarterly basis (usually February, May, August and November)
