Land-Line® withdrawal - new customer information

From 1 October 2007  Ordnance Survey will no longer sell Land-Line licences to new customers.  If you do licence Land-Line, then you will only receive updates of the product until 30 September 2008, at which point it will be withdrawn from the market.  To find out more about what withdrawal means to customers that have a valid and current licence for Land-Line, click here

If you are thinking about taking a licence for a large-scale topographic product, then it makes sense for you to consider OS MasterMap Topography Layer.  OS MasterMap Topography Layer was introduced in 2001, as the new generation digital database product that would replace Land-Line.  OS MasterMap Topography Layer is a greatly superior product to Land-Line and over the 6 year period in which OS MasterMap Topography Layer has been available, we have seen a great many of our Land-Line customers migrate from Land-Line to OS MasterMap Topography Layer.  There are numerous case studies that provide examples of the way in which our customers are using OS MasterMap Topography Layer and the many benefits that their organisations are enjoying as a result.

To find out why OS MasterMap Topography Layer may be right for your organisation and any questions relating to withdrawal of Land-Line, please contact your account manager or our Customer Service Centre on T 08456 05 05 05or email customerservices@ordnancesurvey.co.uk
