Over the last six years Astigan has reached all of its significant milestones during its research and development phase.
However, to reach full commercialisation it was always part of the business strategy to find a suitable strategic partner. Despite significant work a suitable strategic partner wasn't found, and Ordnance Survey (OS) has decided to close the Astigan project.
OS remains committed to providing the world class data, services and location insight for positive impact. We will continue to monitor the development of high-altitude pseudo satellite platforms and how they can support data capture operations in the future.
