Please can you advise us who the best person is to contact regarding your printing/print management contract in terms of ‘general office’ print requirements, not map printing.
We would like to find out when it is up for review and details of the last tender process, and the name of the company the contract is currently with.
Ordnance Survey does hold the information to respond to your information request, and we respond as follows:
The contract which includes general office printing is for an initial term of seven years, until 21 Feb 2018, with an option to then extend for a further three years. This is currently with Norland Managed Services.
The tender for this contract was conducted in 2009/10 to commence 2011 – OJEU reference: 2009/S 234-335131-EN. A copy of the invitation to tender (ITT) is attached to this response for your reference – Lot 4 refers to the Reprographic Services (page 35).
Details of our procurement contacts are exempt under Section 21 (1) of the FOIA, Information accessible to applicant by other means. This is because we make this information available, and therefore consider it is reasonably available, on our procurement portal.
As all the requested information has been provided or is accessible, we have determined that in all the circumstances of this case the Public interest consideration (section 17 FOIA) is not applicable in this instance.

The FOI Internal Review Officer will not have been involved in the original decision. They will conduct an independent internal review and will inform you of the outcome of the review normally within 20 working days, but exceptionally within 40 working days, in line with the Information Commissioner’s guidance.
The FOI Internal Review Officer will either: uphold the original decision, provide an additional explanation of the exemption/s applied or release further information, if it is considered appropriate to do so.
