Thank you for your email of 27 July 2014, requesting the following information from Ordnance Survey in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act FOIA 2000:
I would like all the details that you can disclose of the complaints that have been made against your organisation in the last 12 calendar months.
Ordnance Survey does hold the information to respond to your information request. Please see attached the spreadsheet xxxxxx – SPREADSHEET – FOI14480.
The information has been provided to you for the last financial year, because there is a business requirement for Ordnance Survey to collect and hold the information in this manner, in preparation for our annual report.
Under Section 16 of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) ‘the duty to provide advice and assistance’ you may be interested to view our annual report, pages 11 and 12 (PDF), which also provides information relating to the number of complaints the business has received.
The information provided in the spreadsheet is all the information we can disclose. Any additional held information would be subject to engagement of an exemption within the FOIA.
As all the requested information has been provided, we have determined that in all the circumstances of this case the Public interest consideration (section 17 FOIA) is not applicable in this instance.
Your enquiry has been processed according to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000. If you are unhappy with our response, you may request an internal review with our FOI Internal Review Officer, by contacting them as follows:
