Royal Mail contract

FOI14606 – Request for information

Thank you for your email of 11 November 2015, requesting information from Ordnance Survey in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act FOIA 2000:

A copy of the contract between Royal Mail and Ordnance Survey for the supply of PAF for the creation of Addresspoint. This should redact all financial details.

Our response

I can confirm that Ordnance Survey does hold the information you have requested. I am pleased to attach the agreement between Royal Mail and Ordnance Survey licensing OS to use PAF in the creation of our products including ADDRESS-POINT. (This information is available on request).

In accordance with our duty to provide advice and assistance under section 16 of FOIA, please note that the attached Agreement represents Royal Mail's standard terms for licensing PAF to solutions providers. In addition, please note that as of 31 October 2015, OS's ADDRESS-POINT product was withdrawn, but the attached Agreement still governs the terms on which OS is licensed to use PAF in its current addressing products.

I hope the above is of use to you.
