2015 British Cycling Festivals

Looking for a way to enjoy cycling? Whether it’s family rides, extreme off-road or charity challenge rides, there are cycling festivals for beginners to hardcore enthusiasts this summer.

We’ve listed all the British cycling festivals we’ve found by month so you can easily find one, and included links to the organisers pages. Some are free events, while others are charged – please see the event organisers for details.

Tour De Yorkshire Festival

Family Wildlife Ride – Kilbirnie to Lochwinnoch

Abingdon Cycle Festival

19 April 2015
Rides for all ages – and you can even borrow a bike if you don’t have one.



Cycle Touring Festival

01 May 2015
The first festival dedicated to cycle touring, it will have talks, workshops, films and more.

Pedal Norfolk

02 May 2015
Action-apcked three day festival with rides for all ages, displays and family events

Highland Perthshire Cycling Festival

Keswick Mountain Festival

14 May 2015
Not just for walking, there are loads of cycling events at this huge festival.

QE Cyclefest

16 May 2015
A weekend event at Queen Elizabeth country park in Hampshire, with over 120 bikes to test.

Tweedlove Bike Festival

17 May 2015
Two weeks of rides and events from fim competitions to family rides, skills sessions to off-road trails.

Lewes Hike and Bike Festival

30 May 2015
Three week festival for cycling and walking, exploring the urban area and countryside of this historic town at the edge of the South Downs National Park. Wide choice of rides including the Tweed and Retro ride – dressing up strongly encouraged!



Bristol Cycle Festival

06 June 2015
9 days celebration of cycling, organised by volunteers from the local community.

Edinburgh Festival of Cycling

11 June 2015
10 days long, last year this event had 80 individual events at 46 different venues. It includs rides, races, films, art and more.

Eastbourne Cycling Festival

13 June 2015
Weekend festival with races, skills challenges, stunt displays, vintage bikes and much more, right in the middle of Eastbourne.

Warminster Wobble

13 June 2015
Free weekend cycling festival with exhibitions, stands, entertainment and rides.

Bike Week

13 June 2015
A national event promoting cycling with events across the country. Check to see what’s on near you.

Eroica Britannia

19 June 2015
3 day festival campaing near Bakewell in The Peak District National Park. 3 days of music, food, drink, acres of shopping and as much fun as you can have on and off two wheels.

Virgin Money Cyclone

19 June 2015
Three-day festival of cycling with leisure and challenge rides, including charity rides.

Harrogate Borough Council’s Big Bike Bash

20 June 2015
This weekendevent includes competitive and pleasure cycling events for both professionals and amateurs. A lively entertainment village will also be located on Harrogate’s famous Stray, next to the finish line of the first stage of the 2014 Tour de France.

Cycle Live Nottingham

21 June 2015

Malton Festival of Cycling

22 June 2015
All-day event with kids and pro-am rides,exhibitions and displays in Malton centre.



Staffordshire Cycling Festival

03 July 2015
Friday and Saturday, this festival includes two sportives, plus evening activities. Now in July for the first time.

Bike Bath

Big Bike Bash

Isle of Wight Cycling Festival

05 September 2015
This nearly month-long event has a selection of rides and activities to join in.

Kent Cycling Festival

13 September 2015
On-road and off-road challenge rides is support of the British Heart Foundation through the beautiful Kent countryside.

Ludlow Cycling Festival

20 September 2015
