Coordinate transformation

If you need to transfer a single coordinate or multiple coordinates from one format to another, our software can help you to do this.

Our Grid InQuestII software transforms between the ETRS89 (WGS84) and OSGB36 National Grid coordinate systems using the same transformation models (OSTN15/OSGM15) as our online Coordinate transformer.

You can use Grid InQuestII to transform a single coordinate or a batch of coordinates and incorporates a wizard so you can even define your own input file format.

Grid InQuestII is available to install directly onto a PC, which means it doesn't have to be used via the Internet. Developers wishing to incorporate OSTN15/OSGM15 into other software and applications see here.

This software, compatible with Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista, 7 and 10) 32 bit and 64 bit, OSX and Linux 32 bit and 64 bit, is licensed pursuant to the terms of the BSD Licence.

OSTN15/OSGM15 replaced the previous models OSTN02/OSGM02 in August 2016. The old Grid InQuest software can still be found here. An article outlining the changes is here.
