OS Detailed Path Network support

A routable path and track network product, OS Detailed Path Network is designed for leisure web and mobile apps for walkers, cyclists and horse riders.

Will the DPN be made available to commercial customers and the public sector?

DPN will be licensed to different customer groups based on demand. If you are interested in licencing DPN outside of the Consumer Solutions Contract, please contact us.

Will product coverage be extended beyond National Parks?

This is a National Park product. Future plans to expand the coverage will be based on customer needs.

If a path is included in the DPN, does that mean the path is a legal right of way?

No. Whilst the DPN is indicative of the right of access along roads, paths and tracks it is not the legally definitive source of access information including Public Rights of Way. Your local council will be tell you if a given path is a public right of way.
