AddressBase second anniversary

GeoPlace and Ordnance Survey held a joint celebration celebrating our addressing product range AddressBase.

AddressBase has come a long way since it was created back in 2011 with 97.34% of PAF®, 99.84% of Valuation Office Council Tax and 92.92% of Valuation Office Non-Domestic Rate information contained within the product. Change Only Update is also available for customers, and there are now nearly 40 million unique addresses contained within AddressBase Premium. Compare this to the 28 million contained within ADDRESS-POINT® and the 30 million contained within OS MasterMap Address Layer 2 and you can see it’s a far more comprehensive address dataset.

Over 25% of all PSMA customers have already completed migration to AddressBase, with another 40% under way – and all a year before the 2014 migration deadline.

With all this good news, the team are working hard to further develop the product with improved coordinates, and increased PAF inclusion. Watch this space!
