Make 3D visualisations using our new building height attributes

The alpha release of OS MasterMap® Topography Layer – Building Height Attribute; additional attributes that enhances and forms part of OS MasterMap Topography Layer, is now available.

This data provides customers with some simple attributes on building heights for urban areas. The first release will cover approximately 8,000 km2 of the main towns and cities in Great Britain.

The alpha release of the height attribute is initially provided as a csv file and includes minimum, maximum and building eve heights plus two relative heights to enable detailed analysis.

The additional attribution can be used to make simple 3D visualisations of buildings and can assist a range of analytical applications, helping insurers for example, with wind storm modelling.
