PAF® Public Sector Licence (PAF® PSL)

Announcement from Department for Business, Innovation and Skills

The Department of Business, Innovation, and Skills (BIS), on behalf of the public sector in England and Wales, has signed a centrally paid agreement with Royal Mail’s Address Management Unit (AMU) for the use of the Postcode Address File (PAF) for the next three years.

From 1 April 2014, the new Public Sector Licence (PSL) means that BIS will pay licence fees on behalf of all Public Sector Mapping Agreement (PSMA) members within England and Wales, removing the administrative task of reporting your PAF usage and making it free at the point of use.

The PSL User Terms have been provided to the public sector organisations via PSMA Principal Contact; we would recommend contacting your Principal Contact in the first instance or visit the PSL Use Terms on the Royal Mail website: www.poweredbypaf.com/licensing-centre/public/paf-public-sector-licence.
