On 24 April, Ordnance Survey and Scottish Government held a NHS Workshop for members of the OSMA. Held in Edinburgh, this event was well-attended with representatives from across the health sector.
The aim of the workshop was to provide a forum where NHS Boards could network, share ideas and be updated on initiatives specific to the health sector. It was extremely interesting and beneficial to hear of the GIS related work and projects currently being undertaken across the NHS Boards using OSMA data and to talk around the opportunities to do more with geography to help underpin health related analysis and projects.
Based on positive feedback, it is likely that we will run another NHS Workshop next year.
