Hi, I'd like to get a list of all the Landranger sheet names and numbers, with Lat and Long coordinates (E.g. for the centre or top-left of the sheet).

    E.g.
    150, Worcestor and the Malverns, -200000, 7195025.

    (for https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/shop/maps/landranger-map-worcester-the-malverns.html)

    Many thanks,

    Will.

      Hi Will,

It is possible to acquire this information, but it will be a cost to the business, therefore could you please provide detail about why you require this information.

      Kind regards,

      OS OpenSpace Team

        Hi,

This is just for a little app I'm developing for my (and friends') own use.
It's a tool for keeping track and displaying which OS Landranger maps I own.

I wanted to list all the 1:50 000 maps with checkboxes to tick-off the ones I own, and to show the coverage
of the selected sheets on the map.

I haven't got very far yet, but you can see the current app at http://will-moore.github.io/weblabs/osMap/

The geo data that I've manually created so far is at https://raw.githubusercontent.com/will-moore/weblabs/gh-pages/osMap/osMap.geojson

The current 3 map coordinates I've done so far was by trial and error, editing the json and refreshing the browser. It would take a long time to do all 204 maps manually!

I started by using lat/long coordinates on the sheets I own, but these weren't exactly right, so I tweaked them manually.
I'm sure that there's some coordinate conversion that could do, but I'm not too worried about this.

I don't know what your policy is on "cost to the business". I don't want to put you to too much trouble for a toy app. But if you have the data in any form that I could work with, that would be very nice.

        Many thanks!

        Will.

          Good afternoon Will,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I can confirm that we have now created the list of Landranger sheet names and numbers with longitude and latitude coordinates. Can you please provide us with an email address so that we can send you this?

          Many thanks,

          OS OpenSpace Team

Wow, thank you so much! I had kinda assumed that this was asking too much!

You can e-mail me at w.moore@dundee.ac.uk

            Many thanks!

            Will.

Is this data extant and could I possibly be sent a copy of it?

My use case is that I want to write a script which will append coded geographic data to MARC records (structured data used for library catalogues) for landranger and explorer maps.

Apologies if this has been included in an OS data product subsequent to this exchange, but I've not seen it.

                Apologies for the slow response.

You can get a JSON copy of the data from http://will-moore.github.io/dads_maps/js/coords.js

                Regards,

                Will.
