THE ORDNANCE SURVEY MINECRAFT MAP OF GREAT BRITAIN 2.0 Created September 2014 The purpose of this map was to focus on gameplay and realism and we feel this has been achieved with an increase of scale. The generation of ore and trees enables near normal gameplay to occur. Lighting which was a major bug in the previous version has been fixed enabling mob spawning and day/night to occur as normal. LEGAL This map contains Ordnance Survey Data (c) Crown Copyright and Database Distribution 2014 Minecraft is ©2009-2014 Mojang AB. INSTALLATION Within OSGB.zip is a folder named OSGB which will need to be copied to your computers minecraft installation directory within the saves folder. Windows Press Win+R, then type %appdata%\.minecraft, then press Ok. Mac (OS X) In the Finder, from the Go menu, select 'Go to Folder', then type: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft, and click Go. Linux ~ is within your home directory, usually /home/YOURNAME, so ~/.minecraft would be /home/YOURNAME/.minecraft/. Once located place the OSGB file within "/minecraft/saves" sub directory CO-ORDINATES The co-ordinate system within minecraft measures along the x and z and these are based on a scaled version of OSGB 1936 co-ordinate system. The teleport command can be used to jump around the map. /tp [x] [y] [z] If you know the location of a place in Northings and Eastings, the exact position in minecraft can be calculated using the following.
