Wild Running is Britain’s first guidebook for runners who dream of exploring our spectacular mountain, forest and coastal trails.
It features 150 runs from all across the country, chosen for their fantastic terrain and sensational beauty. Each is rated with a level from 'easy' to 'challenging', with terrain type and distance to help you find one suitable for your needs. Each route has an OS overview map, directions, description and a link to access the GPX files and more detailed mapping online.
It also includes information about the terrain and history of the areas you will be exploring, highlighting natural and man-made features to discover plus stunning landscape photography.
About the authors
Jen Benson is a runner, climber and sports clinician whose research focuses on many aspects of long distance running. She has run over 50 marathons and ultras, with several top three finishes to her name.
Sim Benson is a runner, mountaineer and environmentalist. Together Jen and Sim have undertaken mountain marathons, multi-day adventure races and wilderness expeditions. They are currently embarking on many new adventures with their young family.
