Map Shop help

I am having problems going between Map shop and using OS getamap - can you help?

Thank you for your question/feedback. We are aware of the problem when customers log in to Map shop and then access the OS getamap area of the site.

If you are experiencing problems moving between these two areas, please log out of the Map shop and log back into OS getamap. Please also delete the cookies in your browser. This will resolve any cookie based issues and should improve your user experience.

How long will the products I bought from your online shop take to arrive?

This depends on what you ordered and where you live. The majority of our products, including OS Custom Made maps, are delivered within the UK using standard delivery by Royal Mail. For full details, please see Delivery Times in our Map Shop Terms of Sale and Supply.

Will you share my data with a third party?

No - we will not do this, in line with the Ordnance Survey privacy policy

The only necessary exception would be where a third party product supplier requires your details to be able to fulfil an order you have placed.

What is my CV2 security code

The card security code is a unique three digit number printed on the back of your credit or debit, often asked for as ‘the 3 numbers on the back’ if you’re ordering anything by phone. This number is not embossed on the card and hence not printed on receipts, making it difficult for anyone other than you to know it.

Tell me more about PayPal?

PayPal is one of the safest, fastest and easiest way to pay for things online. It’s used on thousands of websites, around 235 million people are registered, and it’s very secure because your card and bank details are never passed to the vendor. It’s also free to use, and includes payment protection insurance.

With PayPal you use a credit or debit card, a balance that have in your PayPal account, or funds in a bank account that’s linked to your PayPal account to buy things online. If you choose to use PayPal you’ll be passed to the PayPal website to complete payment details, and then return to the checkout process for review and final

What is 3-D secure?

When you purchase products to the value of more than £100, or you want items delivered overseas another box will pop up asking you to set up or enter your 3-D secure password.

3D-Secure is an added level of security used by some card issuing banks that double checks and authorises your card. Visa has called their version of the scheme 'Verified by Visa' and MasterCard have called it ‘SecureCode'. If you’ve forgotten your 3-D Secure name or password, you can click the ‘Help’ link on the pop-up box, or contact your card issuer.

When you’ve finished entering your payment details, click the ‘Continue’ button - you may have to scroll down the page to see it. If you’ve entered something incorrectly, or there’s a problem with your card, you’ll see a message in red at the top of the screen.

Once you've successfully completed the 3D-Secure process you'll be returned to the shop checkout confirmation screen, and given your order number.

How are different products dispatched (UK and Overseas)?

Products are dispatched by the Royal Mail or, for certain products where indicated on the Website, by courier service and for UK deliveries will usually arrive within 6 days of your order. Our main supplier for clothing and accessories is Snow+Rock.

Overseas orders will take approximately 10 working days. We regret that we are unable to supply courier delivered products other than to an address within the United Kingdom (excluding the Channel Islands). We will deliver the products ordered by you to the address you give us for delivery at the time you make your order.

Courier deliveries must be signed for and are made Monday to Friday (excluding bank and public holidays), normally between 8am and 5pm. The precise timing of a delivery can’t be specified.

More information about delivery charges and times can be found in our Shop Terms and Conditions.
