OS Net support

What is OS Net?

OS Net is Ordnance Survey's national infrastructure network that supports its vital work in accurately surveying the landscape in order to create highly accurate digital map products on which businesses and government organisations can depend.

This support section covers how our national GPS system and passive land-based coordinate system (trig-points) help to accurately survey and map Great Britain.

Why is this important?

If you are a technical user of Ordnance Survey's digital map products, or work as a Surveyor, or you have an interest in the workings of geographic infrastructure sytems, this information can help you with your role.

Please see the support topics below to learn more.
