Banner Yorkshire Dales

The Yorkshire Dales National Park straddles 1761 square km (680 sq. miles) of historic countryside and hosts the much-loved 39.44 km (24.5 mile) Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. Brimming with things to do and places to explore, the Yorkshire Dales has many individual attractions such as brewery visits, artisan crafts and cheese tasting as well as abundant and exciting cycling and hiking trails.

The Dales landscapes are formed from a puzzle of ‘V’ and ‘U’ shaped valleys which were shaped from glacial erosion millions of years ago. Together these valleys make up the beautiful rolling scenery of the Dales as well as the intricate cave systems which can be explored beneath the surface.
