Welcome to Get-a-map, your free improved mapping service from Ordnance Survey. You can search for maps anywhere in the UK simply by entering the place name, full postcode or National Grid reference – and print the maps or copy them for use on your personal or business web site.

You can now zoom to 1:25 000 – our largest scale national leisure mapping for Great Britain. The Isle of Man is covered by enlarged 1:50 000 scale mapping.

Business customers can find out more about large-scale computerised mapping data by visiting our Business section.

You can also use a free historical map service to see what your neighbourhood looked like in past times.

Get-a-map™ terms and conditions of use

The mapping images on this web site are provided by Ordnance Survey® (referred to as we, our or us in these terms). You can contact us here or use the links below. You are allowed to use the mapping images provided by this web site subject to the following terms and conditions.

The mapping images on this web site may contain our 1:25 000 Scale Colour Raster, 1:50 000 Scale Colour Raster, 1:250 000 Scale Colour Raster, MiniScale® and data from Ordnance Survey of Northern Ireland (OSNI). All such data is protected by Crown Copyright under the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988. Our products contain fingerprinting and coding protection techniques. Unauthorised reproduction infringes Crown Copyright and may lead to prosecution and/or civil proceedings.

As we have no control over the equipment that you use to access this web site, we cannot guarantee or give any warranty as to the accuracy, currency or completeness of mapping images which you access. We are not responsible for the services provided by third parties such as Internet Service Providers and telecoms networks that may affect the download time. All mapping images are provided as is, excluding any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including (but not limited to) the exclusion of warranties of title, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement of proprietary or third party rights.

You use data from Get-a-map entirely at your own risk and you should not rely on any output as an aid to navigation. The representation on any mapping image of any road, track or path is no evidence of the existence of a right of way.

We do not warrant that this web site or any of the mapping images accessed through it are compatible with your computer equipment or that the web site, its server or any of the mapping images are free of errors, viruses, worms, Trojan horses or cancelbots, and we are not liable for any damage you may suffer as a result of such destructive features and are not responsible for data or content provided by third parties.
