"I'm looking for home with garden statistics over the past decade (or longer) up until 2025/as recent as possible. If the info could be broken down at UK county level, or even city level too, that would be great."

Our request for clarification of 19 May 2025

“From our preliminary assessment, we will not be able to answer your request for information without further clarification. The request for homes with garden statistics over the past decade (or longer) is vague. To ensure that we understand exactly what information you require, please could you identify what kind of statistics you are looking for, eg are you asking how many homes with gardens there are? It would also be helpful to have a more precise timeframe. This will enable us to provide an appropriate and accurate response to your request.

Please note, depending on the kind of information you are looking for, you might be able to obtain the information from OS MasterMap Topography Layer in combination with OS NGD Land Use Data, both of which are commercially available.”

Clarification response of 19 May 2025

“I am asking about how many homes with gardens there are in the UK broken down per UK county or ideally, city if that's possible.

I would specifically like a decade timeframe, so looking at the above statistics per year from 2015 to 2025. The idea is that the data can show how the number of homes with gardens might have changed each year.”
