Satmap, a British company established in 2005, is a leading market provider of the multi-award winning Active 10 handheld GPS. The Active 10 is a rugged, weatherproof and reliable outdoor device compatible with Ordnance Survey raster mapping as well as numerous worldwide topographic datasets.

The Active 10 is used by over 30 Mountain Rescue teams in the UK. Satmap develop software applications including an online route planner delivering Ordnance Survey and international mapping to a large customer base as well as bespoke software solutions for the public sector such as the Ministry of Defence and the DofE charity organisation.

Satmap can deliver a custom Active 10 for both private and public sector, providing in-house GIS and technical expertise in processing large volumes of mapping data and executing software and hardware solutions. The Satmap software development team build and deliver web mapping applications with experience in cloud storage, handling API’s and processing and integrating disparate international mapping datasets into a common interface.

Satmap retain strong business relationships with over 25 international mapping agencies and companies including France IGN, Germany DAV, SwissTopo and the National Geographic in the USA.
