Licence restrictions
Our product licence only covers a single publication. Reprints of a publication, reissues or further editions of a publication will require a new licence.
Mapping used on a website is restricted to 100 extracts of facsimile mapping (each extract being no larger than 200 cm 2 at original scale) or 3000 extracts of redrawn mapping (each extract being no larger than 100 cm 2 at original scale). There are no restrictions for merchandising products.
You can find more information on calculating mapping and measuring mapping on our how to measure a map and calculate the royalty fee page.

If you want to publish a map which has been sourced from OS OpenData, you don’t need a publishing licence. There is a separate licence that covers the use of OS OpenData products.
