Three-Year Currency

The OSMM Imagery Layer is updated on a three-year currency, meaningc the entirety of Great Britain is re-flown over a three-year period.

Sometimes older imagery is provided to customers. This is because the imagery is due to be included in the next product refresh, processing delays, or because the land in the tile now sits underwater (e.g. in an estuary) and is not scheduled to be re-flown.

Collar Regions

A 'collar' exists where imagery data from two adjacent years is merged together. Ordnance Survey blends multiple years' imagery along hard topographic features within Collars such as roads or bridges, to create a single, continuous layer.
