What is the OS Data Hub?

The OS Data Hub is a geospatial data platform that gives you access to all the data available under the PSGA.

This includes addressing data, road networks, topographic data describing the physical features of the Great Britain, and much more.

The data you use can be integrated into your Geographic Information System (GIS) and become a key component to your app, platform, project, or solution.

The Public Sector Plan

Choose the Public Sector Plan for PSGA member exclusive access to OS data.

  • Download the data you need from the OS National Geographic Database (NGD) using OS Select+Build or access via OS NGD APIs

  • Download OS OpenData and Premium datasets, or avoid large data downloads using OS APIs 

  • Access data in the format you choose to work with 

  • Every day we make 20,000 updates to our database which holds 500 million features

  • Read information and guides to help you get started and support you once you’re up and running

How do I sign up to the OS Data Hub?

If your organisation is a member of the PSGA you will need to create you own personal account in the OS Data Hub to be able to access the data available to you. You can do this by following these simple steps:

  1. Go to the OS Data Hub and select 'Sign up' or 'Sign up for free'
  2. Choose the “Public Sector Plan”
  3. Enter your email address* and create a password
  4. Confirm your details so we can link your account to your organisation
  5. You're ready to go

*You’ll need to verify your email address - please check your spam folder if you don’t receive a verification code.

If you already have an account in the OS Data Hub, you can simply log in to access all the data available to you.

If you do not know if your organisation is a member of the PSGA, use our member finder to check to see if it is already registered.

How do I access data in the OS Data Hub?

Once you're signed up to the Public Sector Plan in the OS Data Hub, downloading data and using our APIs is easy.

  • Go to ‘Downloads’ to download OS NGD data using OS Select+Build, OS OpenData or Premium data
  • Go to your ‘API Dashboard’ and create a new project using the API of your choice
